The Role:

Our Aquarists maintain the heath and wellbeing of our animals and displays while providing an informative experience for clients. They are responsible for ensuring a very high standard of animal health and water quality/clarity across Kelly Tarlton's entire collection. Our Aquarists are charged with presenting a high standard of accurate, informative and educational public presentations, to provide an excellent guest experience.

Key Objectives

    * Ensure the presentation of all exhibits is maintained at a high standard
    * Keep a good working knowledge of all Kelly Tarlton's life support systems and associated plant and equipment.
    * Stay up to date with scientific information regarding the animals held in the Kelly Tarlton collection
    * Exercise good communication and demonstrate teamwork to assist with the daily operations of Kelly Tarlton
    * Assist with the public presentations and daily running of the adventure products as required



The person

As the successful candidate you will have a genuine passion for working with aquatic animals, and have relevant animal husbandry experience and knowledge. You will also be a loyal and hard working team player who is committed to the delivery of exceptional customer service . The position requires regular and intensive diving so the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an occupational divers medical. Ideally the successful candidate would be a certified scuba instructor.
