Wildlife demonstrator with Wild Action Wild Action is an award winning mobile zoo, situated in the picturesque Macedon Ranges. Be part of our outreach programs travelling to schools, kindergartens and events with our gorgeous native wildlife. Our objective is to teach fellow Australians about our Country's amazing biodiversity, ecology and the importance of conservation. Under the guidance of Director/Zoologist Chris Humfrey, you'll be given the training to conduct demonstrations and handle native fauna. Your daily job will start at our private zoo. Relocation to the Macedon Ranges would be beneficial, due to the extensive travel in your daily duties. You must be able to wrangle all types of animals, from kangaroos, snakes, koalas to octopus, spiders and scorpions! Successful applicants must be physically fit, energetic, have a 'bubbly' personality and have exceptional communication skills across all ages. Tertiary qualifications in Science/Education or Arts would be beneficial. Preference will be given to applicants who have a Zoology background and wildlife industry experience. A general knowledge and demonstrable passion for all things WILD is a must. Wild Action prides itself on quality education and exceptional science knowledge. Successful applicants must be able to procure a Working with Children's check and a National Police check. Wildlife Demonstrators must also have a current full drivers license.
