ASZK has again re-united with the Australasian SMP Reptile TAG to develop another specialist workshop, this time covering the diverse husbandry and conservation of native and exotic Crocodilians. The workshop is being generously hosted onsite at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, from February 12-14, 2027.

Following the success of the 2019 ASZK Komodo Dragon & Large Varanid workshop, and the 2025 ASZK Chelonian workshop, this latest instalment will bring together local and international keynote speakers to discuss modern best practice husbandry and welfare of Crocodilians in zoos, and how our zoos can contribute to impactful croc conservation initiatives locally and globally.

An important part of these workshops is a fundraising component in support of a recipient organisation, and this time we are partnering with the Mabuwaya Foundation, supporting their protection and recovery of the critically endangered Philippine Crocodile in the range-state.
